ZCCI Annual SMME Seminar on 10 September
All Entrepreneurs and SMMEs are invitated to attend the 2018 ZCCI Annual SMME Seminar on 10 September 2018 at 08h30.
The theme of the ZCCI Annual SMME seminar is “Building small business to business empires.”
Deputy Minister of Small Business Development, Cassel Mathale will deliver the official opening address at 09h00. He will provide insights about small business development in South Africa.
Nomfundo Mcoyi, Founder and Group CEO of Icebolethu Group started a funeral parlour business with only five employees in 2009. She has expanded her business into 65 branches in South Africa and Zimbabwe and presence in London to target South Africans living in Europe.
Her business employs 500 people since she has turned it into a one-stop funeral services shop, offering tombstone services, event catering, floral bouquets and funeral policies.
She is the first female chairperson of SA Funeral Practitioners’ Association in KwaZulu-Natal. Her recent major awards include:
- 2017 – Business Partner Entrepreneur of the Year award
- 2018 – Lioness of Africa category award at African Women held in London (United Kingdom)
Eric Tocknell is Founder of Wimpy Restaurants Group that also includes Golden Egg, Whistle Shop, Juicy Lucy and Milky Lane. He will share parts of his journey to success.
The ZCCI Annual SMME Seminar provides (1) capacity building workshops, (2) information sharing sessions, (3) access to markets, (4) access to finance and (5) provides an excellent platform for networking for emerging and established entrepreneurs. The ZCCI SMME seminar was established in 2011. We are expecting more than 400 participants and entrance is free.
